This is a herpes newsgroup so lets start talking about herpes
conditions! :o) I know it is possible to have herpes and get a yeast
infection, but wouldn't that be a better topic for a yeast infection
support group?? Its been dead in here. Where are all the regulars?
Grant, Eric, Angela, M2, Perl Molson??

Hi Al,
I have NO idea what's happened to the regulars. I've wondered the
same thing from time to time though. By the way, you left quite a few
names off your list lol! All those people have found other
interests I guess and drifted away. Frankly, I still much prefer
usenet over the Web as a way to communicate on an active message
board. But the world seems to have moved onto the Web . Even my own
ISP who used to provide usenet access as standard part of their
service, simply quit providing usenet access one day. And with no
explanation whatsoever when they pulled the plug. I had to go find
access elsewhere.
Anyhow, it's nice to know the group still exists albeit with some
spammers and very little legitimate activity. But maybe it'll come
back to life someday. I hope so. And if that happens, I hope somebody
will email me to let me know. Btw, my email name is the same but I'm
at gmail now. I still check in here but not very often.

USEnet is far more difficult to access and so there is no new blood coming
in as people drift away. I only check this group about once a month or so
now and I really cannot remember the last time I saw an new post.

I think some of the regulars are on Yoshi's forums, and thats really where
new people turn up and since its a support group at its heart you need to
go where the people who need it are going.

HA! Speak of the devil! :-)
Long time no read! :-)
I still read and occasionally post to Yoshi's yahoo group. As well as
one online social group. I actually get to meet a few of those peeps
face to face at a national event or two each year, which is nice. But
staying up to date on the latest H developmennts isn't as easy that
way. Most social groups don't seem very interested in discussing the
technical stuff. Someone was telling me the other day that she was "H
negative" when she was tested for "everything" a few years ago right
before she gave birth. So I explained that Herpes isn't part of a
standard STD panel. But she said it's been a standard test for
pregnant women in Nevada for at least 3-4 years, -shrug- who knew? I
haven't heard whether or not other states are following suit though.
And I'm still hearing tales of people being told they've been tested
for "everything" only to find out later they weren't.
Anyhow, those bits and pieces of information don't seem to be as
forthcoming lately like they were when this group was in its hey day.
Anyhooo, it's good to know you're checking in here now and then.
Laters :-)
